Effluent Filter

Ever heard of an effluent filter? They are quite common in parts of the country but they are rarely used in the West Texas area. The filter traps sludge and floating particles and keeps them from entering the drain field. They do need routine maintenance which is as simple as taking them out and rinsing them down with a hose. I’ve never understood why septic installers don’t usually put these filters in. It’s just another layer of protection for the drain field. We do install these and it’s not expensive.
